Fairfield college helps raise mental health awareness for students

Last week, our Fairfield college was proud to host a wellbeing expo as part of Mental Health Month.
We were joined by important members of the Fairfield community in the fields of migrant and refugee mental health and community support services. These groups engaged with our students at stalls and in workshop sessions focused on five areas of well-being that are important for mental health: Connect, Take Notice, Keep Learning, Be Active, Give.
Each session gave students a hands-on experience and centred around the theme of ‘Share the journey’. The workshops included activities such as singing, acting, origami, and exercise.
We wanted to give a huge thank you to the supporting organisations and volunteers that took the time out of their busy day to help our students!
