A Settlement Language Pathways to Employment and Training (SLPET) student, has been fortunate enough to receive a traineeship at a Sydney childcare centre.

Marolla, a student from Sudan studied at Navitas English in Auburn. This traineeship enables her to complete her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, fully sponsored by her employer whilst working full-time.

Marolla’s SLPET teacher is particularly impressed by Marolla’s success as she was one of the shyest students in the class; however she quietly developed confidence over the weeks of the course, absorbing language and knowledge until she felt ready to fully engage.

Marolla has impressed the childcare centre with her gentle and soft manner she conveys with the children and her warmth and engagement with the other staff members.
