Students test out new giant board game at their local Library
Students from Cabramatta College visited the local Whitlam Library where they had the chance to practise their English with one another in a giant game of scrabble.
Cabramatta teacher, Angela Todd said the giant board game is a new addition to the library and is an entertaining way for Cabramatta’s Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) students to develop their English language skills.
“This game fosters the students’ critical and creative-thinking skills, as well as their mathematic skills. It also enhances their vocabulary and spelling. And it does all this in a fun way!” she said.
Students thoroughly enjoyed the game and are already planning a re-match in a couple of weeks.
