AMEP How Can I Study English?

Study English in class

You can study English with us during the day, in the evenings, part-time or full-time at one of our many colleges located in Sydney and the ACT. AMEP (Adult Migrant English Program) classes are available Monday to Saturday each week and are designed to help improve your spoken and written English and your language and communication skills.

English with a Home Tutor

The Home Tutor Scheme will suit you if you want to learn English face-to face, but are not always able to attend one of our colleges for classes. A trained tutor will come to your home for one or two hours per week to help you learn English. The tutor can also teach you English in a community place such as a local library. The tutor will help you build confidence in speaking English and improve the skills you need to settle in Australia. Click here for more information on the Home Tutor Scheme.

Studying English with us is flexible, and you can combine studying face-to-face in a classroom with studying at home.

Childcare

If you are an eligible AMEP client with children under school age, you can access free* childcare while you are in class. This is provided by KU Children’s Services, a Navitas English AMEP partner. This service will help you to study knowing that your children are safe and well looked after.

Please note that childcare is only available while you are attending class. Childcare may not always be available immediately, as places are limited and in high demand. Click here to find out more.

Study with us
